(n phrase) A raise that will reopen the betting. For no limit and pot limit games this is equal to the amount of the last raise. This is called the "full bet rule". For fixed limit games, this can sometimes be half the amount of the last raise. This is called the "half bet rule". The amount of any raise can only be less then the amount of the previous raise if a player goes all-in.
